Our team Ελληνική Ομάδα Διάσωσης Αττικής – Hellenic Rescue Team of Attica had the chance to attend this year’s ISCRAM 2024 at Munster, Germany on behalf of the SYNERGISE project with a talk in the Practitioners Track.
We discussed four major deployments during 2023 involving multiple aspects of Search and Rescue, namely the earthquakes in Turkiye-Syria, train crash at Tempi (Greece), wildfires during the summer period and the flash floods in Thessaly (Greece). All these missions highlighted the technological gaps that exist today and the need to formulate new procedures, deployment plans and contingencies.
Our team and all SYNERGISE partners are committed in putting our best to develop and field-test the next generation of these tools, enhancing our capabilities to save more lives, safely and efficiently.
